The meeting's theme was TEA PARTY 2.0 and focused on a whole new meaning of ACTIVISM. We discussed the temptation to shed our Republican Party affiliations vs. identifying the problems within the GOP and fixing them. We are seeing so many of those who we helped put into office no longer voting as Conservatives and, even worse, becoming hostile to those who are. Enough is enough and, yes, we are as mad as hell. OP members came forward with good suggestions which we will be focusing on at our next meeting.
Kirsten Lombard from the Wisconsin 912 Project was here for a weekend visit and didn't hesitate when we asked for an update on Common Core. Nor did she disappoint us as she delivered an outstanding presentation, scaled-down for time considerations, featuring three clips of testimony from the October 3rd hearings in Madison. You can find Kirsten's complete article with transcripts and links at Grassroots at Joint Hearing on Common Core or go directly to WisconsinEye . We watched and she discussed the following testimonies: her own, (around the 5:51 mark); Edy, McFarland teacher (around the 7:40 mark); and Jody, Appleton-area citizen (around the 7:47 mark)
Also discussed were the benefits of being affiliated with national Tea Party/Liberty groups like Tea Party Patriots and FreedomWorks, the "civil disobedience" unfolding in DC and, of course, the awesomeness of Senators Ted Cruz, Mike Lee and Rand Paul. As promised, here is Ted Cruz's entire must-watch speech, heckling included.
And last, but not least, all OP attire, from hats to hoodies, is on sale for $5.00 per item while supplies last. Money collected from this sale will fund the costs of this website and related communication tools.
Our next meeting is TBD and should, hopefully, take place within the next two weeks.

The Ozaukee Patriots is a group of individuals united by our shared concern over excessive spending by an out-of-control Federal Government that has exceeded boundaries set by the U.S. Constitution. As an organization, we believe that adherence to the U.S. Constitution will result in Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government and Free Markets.
We also recognize the strength of grassroots organizing empowered by activism and civic responsibility at a local level.
The purpose of the Ozaukee Patriots is to organize like-minded individuals, educate and inform others based on our core values, to secure public policy consistent with those values, and to positively affect the outcome of elections.
As a member of the Ozaukee Patriots, it is requested that you actively participate, not just on this website, but on committees and projects and at meetings and events. Active participation also includes the services and dedication of people who are unable to be physically present at meetings and events but who keep themselves involved by doing research, contacting members regarding Ozaukee Patriots agenda, disseminating information to the public, contacting legislators, etc. We cannot be effective as an active group with passive members.
There are many benefits available to members of the Ozaukee Patriots. We are in constant contact with many of our legislators and are honored to have them attend our meetings to keep us informed and to advise as to how we can be influential in decision-making, especially when our conservative values are being challenged. In addition, we arrange for a variety of speakers on politics, communication techniques and other topics of interest and instruction.
Join us as we enter our fourth year.
